Usui 2 Dundalk

Usui Reiki Level 2 (Okuden) — Dundalk

Welcome to usui-2-dundalk — the confident next step in your Reiki journey. If Level 1 introduced you to self-healing and safe treatments for friends and family, Level 2 (Okuden) deepens your sensitivity, technique and ethical practice so you can offer more focused, professional-standard sessions. This in-person training in Dundalk is part of my reiki-courses pathway and is taught in small groups for thorough guidance, feedback and real-world application.

What Level 2 (Okuden) gives you

Symbol work & intention. You’ll learn and practise the classical Level 2 symbols and mantras, exploring how each one focuses the flow of Reiki for distinct purposes: amplification, mental–emotional harmonising, and non-local connection. Rather than memorising shapes, you’ll master when, why and how to use them ethically and sensitively.

Distance sessions. Okuden introduces structured methods for offering Reiki beyond touch and beyond the room. We’ll cover preparation, consent, timing, session notes, and how to communicate outcomes without over-claiming or diagnosing.

Casework & structure. You’ll build session frameworks that include grounding, intake, intention-setting, treatment flow, closure and aftercare. You’ll learn to pace sessions, respond to feedback in the moment, and keep simple records that support reflection and progress.

Ethics & scope. We’ll reaffirm boundaries: Reiki is a complementary practice, not a medical treatment. You’ll learn what to say (and not say), how to refer, and how to work respectfully alongside other approaches to wellbeing.

Confidence & presence. Through guided practice you’ll refine hand positions, timing, symbol integration, and practitioner presence so your treatments are calm, steady and coherent.

Why Reiki Level 2 matters

Many students describe Level 2 as the bridge from techniques to fluency. By engaging with symbols, intention and distance methods, you strengthen your ability to meet clients where they are — whether their priority is relaxation, emotional balance or a sense of inner steadiness. You also learn professional habits: preparing a room, holding time well, and closing a session cleanly so people leave grounded and clear.

Evidence-informed benefits (without medical claims)

Reiki is widely used for relaxation and stress reduction. In practical terms, a well-paced session can support the body’s natural shift towards rest-and-digest, which people often experience as warmth, calm breathing, softer muscles and a quieter mind. Over time, regular practice may help you:

  • Reduce perceived stress and create daily moments of calm

  • Improve sleep routines and unwind more easily in the evening

  • Support emotional regulation, making it easier to respond rather than react

  • Rebalance your day, carving out space for reflection, gratitude and self-care

These are complementary wellbeing benefits and do not replace medical care. Level 2 equips you to communicate clearly and ethically about what Reiki can and cannot do.

How Reiki supports balance and happiness

Consistency is where Reiki shines. A short daily self-practice — even 10–15 minutes — can become a cornerstone habit that resets your day. Students often report feeling more centred, kinder to themselves and more present with others. In Level 2 we formalise that habit with a 21-day plan that includes:

  • A simple self-treatment sequence

  • A brief breath or grounding practice

  • Reflective journalling to notice patterns without judgement

  • Occasional distance practice for loved ones (with consent)

This rhythm promotes a sense of balance and quiet happiness — not by chasing peak experiences, but by reconnecting with steady, everyday calm.

After the course: next steps

Following Level 2, some students keep practising for personal growth, while others begin supervised community sessions. When you feel ready, you can explore advanced study and eventually teacher training. All pathways, dates and formats are listed on my reiki-courses hub:

Enrolment & preparation

  • Bring a notebook, water and comfortable layers

  • Avoid alcohol the day before attunement

  • Keep your phone on silent; you’ll appreciate the uninterrupted focus

  • If you have accessibility needs, tell me in advance — I’ll do my best to accommodate
