Hands On Reiki
Hands On Reiki is about presence you can feel—clear, grounded, and unhurried. I teach you how to arrive: soften the jaw, lengthen the exhale, and let the shoulders settle. We practise precise hand placements for head, neck, chest, abdomen, back, and joints, and we pay attention to transitions that guide the body from alertness to ease. You will learn how to adjust contact for comfort and consent, how to work with light touch or hands hovering, and how to close with a tidy, respectful ending every time. We explore the craft of listening. With steady attention you will notice warmth, gentle pulses, and changes in breath rate. Rather than interpreting or diagnosing, you will work with what is present—extending a hold as softening begins, or changing placement when agitation rises. I show you reliable sequences for common needs: jaw and shoulder tension from desk work, digestive discomfort from stress, and evening routines that prepare the body for sleep. You’ll practise in pairs with kind feedback that helps refine timing and quality of touch. Safety and clarity remain central. You will learn clean session openings and closings, a simple language for consent, and boundaries for informal support at home or at work. I teach grounding resets that take under a minute and help you return to centre between tasks or after travel. If appropriate we explore seated and standing adaptations for limited mobility, plus ways to offer brief support in public or noisy environments without losing focus. By the end, “hands on” means more than technique. It means a way of meeting people that is respectful, attuned, and quietly confident. You will have a repertoire of placements you trust and the steadiness to use them with care—at home, in community, or in professional settings. As your practice matures, remember that consistency matters more than intensity. Short sessions done well often shape sleep, mood, and focus more effectively than rare heroic efforts. Keep clear notes, hydrate, move gently, and remain kind to yourself while you learn. As your practice matures, remember that consistency matters more than intensity. Is touch always required in Hands On Reiki?
No. We use light contact or hands hovering according to consent and comfort. The emphasis is presence, not pressure.
What if I can’t lie on a table?
We adapt with seated or standing work and support cushions so the session remains comfortable and effective.
How do I practise safely at home?
Use clean openings and closings, brief grounding resets, and clear consent. Short, respectful sessions work best.
