Reiki Principles
I’m Marta, a Reiki Master Teacher. The principles are the tone of my work—five plain invitations that help you meet the day with steadiness and care. I do not teach them as slogans; I teach them as small choices you can make when life is busy: “just for today” I’ll soften worry, I’ll pause anger, I’ll notice something to be grateful for, I’ll do one thing well, and I’ll treat myself and others with kindness. That is it. No performance—only practice.
In our training we place the principles inside real routines. Morning: a minute to arrive, hands gently at head and heart, a single intention spoken quietly. Midday: a two‑minute neck and jaw reset after screens. Evening: a short sequence that clears the day and lets breath lengthen. I show you how to track useful signals—warm hands, slower exhale, softer shoulders—and how to keep notes that are light and honest instead of obsessive. We use the principles to design boundaries that protect energy: saying yes to what fits, no to what doesn’t, and later, thank you for what helped.
We also discuss speech. The principles only live if they can be explained in plain English. I’ll help you speak about them to a sceptical colleague, a curious friend, or a client who needs calm rather than mystique. We pair “no worry” with practical steps—preparing, pausing, breathing; we pair “no anger” with kinder timing; we pair “be grateful” with noticing tiny ordinary mercies; we pair “work diligently” with doing one job properly; we pair “be kind” with how you close a session: tidy, hydrated, respectful. You will never be asked to be perfect—only willing to begin again today.
Ethics sit underneath everything. Consent and confidentiality are built‑in, not optional extras. We practise clean openings and closings so your energy remains bright. If emotions crest during integration, we slow the rhythm, hydrate, and anchor the breath until the system settles. If the issue is outside our scope we signpost without drama. This is the practical kindness that allows the principles to be believable.
Over time you’ll notice that the principles start doing you, not the other way around: instinctively pausing, softening, and returning to yourself. Clients feel it. Family feel it. You feel it most of all. That is what “just for today” makes possible—honest, human steadiness built from small actions you can repeat.
Further practice notes: keep language ordinary, avoid rushing, and let breath lead timing. Design shorter sessions for tense days, and fuller routines when the system softens. Close cleanly, hydrate, and rest to anchor change.

FAQ
What are the Reiki principles and how do I use them daily?
Practise them as small actions: a minute to arrive in the morning, brief pauses before calls, and a tidy close each evening.
Can I benefit from the principles if I do not feel strong sensations?
Yes. Look for ordinary shifts—warmer hands, slower breath, steadier mood—rather than fireworks.
How do the principles help me set boundaries with family or clients?
Use plain consent language, offer brief support when invited, and say no kindly when you need to protect energy.
