Reiki Session

A Reiki session is not something you arrive at by accident. It is a conscious choice to pause, to listen and to allow space for yourself.
There is preparation involved — not in a complicated way, but in a mindful one.
Before a Reiki session, it is recommended to:
avoid coffee or strong stimulants
drink water
arrive with an intention, even a simple one
give yourself time to slow down before the session
This preparation helps your body and nervous system receive the session more fully.
What a Reiki session is
A Reiki session is a form of energy work that supports balance within the body, mind and energy system.
During the session, you rest comfortably while Reiki energy flows through and around you, supporting areas where tension, stress or imbalance are held.
You do not need to arrive calm or relaxed. You do not need to have everything figured out.
But you do arrive with awareness — that something within you is ready to be supported.
Intention matters
Reiki works best when there is intention.
That intention does not need to be specific or intellectual. It can be as simple as:
“I want to feel more grounded”
“I want to release what no longer serves me”
“I want to support my healing”
Intention gives direction to the energy and anchors the session in your personal process.
What you may experience during a Reiki session
Each Reiki session is different.
Some people feel warmth, gentle movement of energy, emotional release or deep stillness. Others experience a sense of peace or clarity.
There is no correct experience. What matters is how the energy moves through you and what your system is ready to receive.
Reiki works with you — not against you.
Integration after a Reiki session
What happens after a Reiki session is just as important as the session itself.
Integration is the process of allowing the energy to settle and become part of your system.
After Reiki, it is supportive to:
drink plenty of water
spend time in nature, especially with bare feet on the ground
rest when possible
avoid excessive screen time
do not sleep with your phone beside you
reduce scrolling and overstimulation
These practices help your nervous system integrate the energy that has moved through you.
Reiki continues to work after the session — often subtly, gently, over time.
Reiki and nature
Spending time with Mother Nature after a Reiki session is especially powerful.
Nature supports grounding. It helps stabilize energy and brings awareness back into the body.
Even a short walk, sitting with a tree or feeling fresh air on your skin can support the integration process deeply.
A Reiki session is a partnership
Reiki is not something that is “done to you.” It is a collaboration between you, the energy and your willingness to receive and integrate.
The session opens the space. What you do afterwards helps anchor the healing.
When Reiki is met with presence, care, and integration, it becomes a powerful support for balance, clarity, and inner harmony.
