Reiki – Not a Religion, Not Voodoo, But a Beautiful Healing Practice

Have you ever heard someone say Reiki is a religion, magic, or even… voodoo?Let me set the record straight: Reiki is not a religion. It doesn’t ask you to change your faith, and it doesn’t require you to “believe” in something for it to work. Reiki is a holistic energy healing method that anyone can learn and practice – no matter their beliefs or background.
A Brief History of Reiki
Reiki originated in early 20th-century Japan with Mikao Usui. After years of searching for a way to help people heal without draining his own energy, Usui discovered a method of working with universal life force energy.Through gentle hand placements, Reiki practitioners channel this energy to support the body’s natural self-healing process, bringing balance to mind, body, and spirit.
From Japan, Reiki travelled to Hawaii through Hawayo Takata, then to the United States and Europe, eventually spreading across the globe. Today, millions of people experience Reiki in private sessions, wellness centres, and even hospitals.
Why Reiki is Not Magic or Voodoo
No religious rituals – Reiki is non-dogmatic and doesn’t involve worshipping any deity.
No control over your will – The practitioner is simply a channel; your healing process is always guided by your own highest good.
Simple and natural – Reiki works with the same vital energy that flows through every living being.
Reiki uses what scientists call biofield or subtle energy – the natural energy that supports our health and wellbeing. It is not manipulation, but rather restoration and balance.
My Journey with Reiki
Reiki was a turning point in my life. I have completed all levels of Usui Mikao Reiki and now teach:
Reiki Level 1 – Introduction to Reiki energy and self-healing.
Reiki Level 2 – Working with symbols, distance healing, and advanced techniques.
Reiki Level 3 / Master Level – Deep mastery of the system and practical guidance on how to start your own Reiki business. I teach my students how to structure their services, price their sessions, and build their presence – so they feel confident sharing Reiki with the world professionally.
I lead my courses in a warm, safe, and ceremonial atmosphere, where students can relax, connect, and truly feel the energy.
