Reiki or Sound Healing Training - Which Course Feels Right for You?

Perhaps you have been looking at Reiki courses and sound healing training, and both feel interesting. You would like to learn something new, but you are not quite sure where to begin.

You do not need to map out your whole future before taking a first step. It helps to start with a simpler question: what would you most enjoy learning and practising?

At Reiki & Sound Healing in Drogheda, Co. Louth, I offer both paths. Each has its own focus, and understanding that difference can make your choice feel clearer.

What draws you towards Reiki?

Reiki Level 1 introduces the foundations of Usui Reiki, its principles and hands-on practice. You learn how to offer Reiki to yourself and how to practise with others under guidance.

This may appeal to you if you are curious about a quiet, personal practice that you can continue at home. You might enjoy learning through stillness, gentle hand placements and time for reflection.

You do not have to decide now whether you want to become a practitioner. Your first reason for learning can simply be that you want to explore Reiki for yourself.

What draws you towards sound healing?

Sound healing training brings instruments, listening and practical exploration into the learning experience.

In my Sound Healing Level 1 course, you explore a range of instruments alongside the foundations of client care, boundaries and creating a supportive environment. There is a practical focus on working with sound in one-to-one sessions.

This may appeal to you if you are interested in how instruments are used thoughtfully, or if you already work in holistic wellbeing and would like to explore an additional skill.

Being drawn to the sound is a beginning. Training gives you space to understand the tools and the responsibility that comes with using them with others.

Think about what you want to practise afterwards

Imagine an ordinary week after your course.

• Would you like to make time for a personal Reiki practice?

• Are you curious about learning to work with sound instruments?

• Do you already support clients and want to explore a new approach within your work?

There is no need to choose the answer that sounds most impressive. Choose the one that feels relevant to your life now.

Both practices take time and experience to develop. A course offers a foundation; your learning continues as you practise and ask questions.

If both paths interest you, you can explore one first and return to the other later. There is no need to book everything at once.
